Alignment with stakeholders (Asset Management (AM) and ICT), who previously each had their own separate instance. Coordinated testing in the new shared environment and registered all deviations/defects compared to the original instance.
BDO Global IT
April 2017 - July 2018
The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) of the Global Portal App was successfully launched in production. Later, Global Portal was designated as a strategic high-priority project for BDO. As development was to be outsourced to Microsoft India and there was a need for onshore QA expertise, I was appointed QA Lead for the SharePoint project. Led the GAT within BDO Global. I was on-site in Oslo to successfully support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a pilot of BDO Norway. During an intensive test week with 10 business testers, no critical P1 bugs or blocking P2 bugs were identified. This resulted in a smooth and successful release. Following this milestone, I managed the transition of development activities to Microsoft India. I also coordinated the knowledge transfer process to the Indian QA team and QA lead to ensure project continuity and quality.
BDO Global IT
January 2017 - April 2017
Had the opportunity to contribute as QA Lead to the development and testing of BDO’s first mobile app, the Global Portal App. Responsible for testing the mobile application for iOS and Android, developed using Xamarin — BDO’s first in-house mobile app development project. Designed the mobile app test strategy in coordination with the Test Manager based in Brisbane, Australia. Created detailed test plans and test cases for the app, with test automation being a key component of the strategy. Selected an appropriate test suite to support regression test automation. In close collaboration with the development team, an automated regression test was implemented, running weekly in Xamarin Test Cloud. Reviewed test results and supplemented them with manual tests whenever and wherever necessary.
BDO Global IT
June 2016 - January 2017
QA Lead for the SharePoint application Global Portal, responsible for creating, validating, and executing test plans and test cases. Reviewing CVs and interviewing additional QA resources (offshore from Mauritius) in collaboration with the Test Manager in Brisbane, Australia. Advising BDO Management on the most suitable candidates for the role. The selected candidates were successfully onboarded into the Global Portal project in Eindhoven (NL) with on-site training.
BDO Global IT
January 2015 - June 2016
QA Lead for BDO’s APT 2.7 (Classic) project, responsible for creating and reviewing test plans and test cases, as well as ensuring successful execution of all tests. The test cases were designed based on the acceptance criteria from the product backlog items. Led a Proof of Concept (POC) to introduce test automation within the project, automating all P1 and high-priority P2 test cases — a significant challenge given the complexity of the application. Due to my added value and experience with APT 2.7, I was appointed QA Lead for APT Next Gen (3.0), a greenfield version of APT 2.7 developed with the latest Microsoft technologies. Defined the test strategy in close collaboration with the Test Manager. BDO decided to outsource development to Microsoft, which led the team to travel to Hyderabad, India for the transition. Aligned BDO’s test strategy with Microsoft’s processes. Together with Microsoft’s test leads, a joint strategy was defined to ensure that QA activities were well-organized and aligned.
