Aviso Wealth is Canada’s largest independent financial services company serving the wealth management needs of virtually all of Canada’s credit unions as well as a range of independent financial organizations. My project involved development of a new in-house portfolio planner tool, and integrating it with an in-house compliance tool hosting Advisor profile data, another in-house tool controlling their permissions and accesses, and finally a 3rd party tool containing client records including their investments. The end point was with an another new tool being simultaneously developed, that took care of the account opening process in a seamless end to end integration. I was also involved with several initiatives covering new functionalities for existing Advisor and Client facing applications. Additionally, I was assigned as a SME-QA for a critical Enterprise software used by Compliance.

CN, headquartered in Montreal (QC), is a Class I freight railway, having the largest rail network in Canada and the only transcontinental network in North America. The US Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) mandated the implementation of PTC (Positive Train Control) - a safety technology which consists of requirements for monitoring and controlling train movements. I am part of this PTC project which covers the embedded PTC software systems within the trains and the dispatch control systems. My work revolves around System testing of: 1) Windows Desktop-based Train dispatch system, 2) Linux-based embedded PTC Software which is an on-board computer within the Train (using VMware), and 3) Back-end communication server (hosted on Windows Server 2012 R2).

My project involved development and maintenance of three educational in-house products, namely FACILITY (for Schools), CMISHE and CMISGo (for Universities). Users for these products include faculty, staff and students of educational institutions based in the UK, Ireland and the International markets. Development model was Agile-based having 2-week Sprints with quarterly production releases. Products were VC++ and Java-web based and attached to a SQL database. I was in charge of Testing, Reporting, Demos and Training documents.

The entire LOS replacement project was managed and operated by the bank in an Agile environment. I was donning multiple hats of QA, UAT and BA roles, with my primary role of testing the application, creating/running regression scripts and bug reporting/follow-ups.
